Food Service Assistant

The General food service assistant supports the smooth day to day operation of a digital cafe by providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, maintain high standards of cleanliness. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, including food preparation, cleaning, customer service and use of digital ordering and payment system. The position involves early mornings, evenings, weekends .,

• Support the preparation, cooking, and service of food in line with approved recipes and menu cycles
• Deliver friendly, efficient customer service in line with company standards
• Maintain portion control, food quality, and presentation standards
• Operate digital systems to ensure accurate and efficient transactions
• Ensure food is served and held at correct temperatures, completing required checks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant FOH environment at all times
• Attend team briefings and complete required training
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, and PPE compliance
• Report hazards, near misses, accidents, or faulty equipment promptly
• Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring security requirements are met
• Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, and client representatives
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management
  
  Good verbal communication skills
• Experience in a similar role within the service industry
Desirable:
• Experience working within a military environment
• Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates
