Food Service Assistant

As a Food Service Assistant, you'll be helping to create a positive dining experience for students, staff and visitors by:

• Supporting the preparation and service of fresh, high-quality food
• Presenting food attractively and serving it to the highest standards
• Assisting with basic food preparation and day-to-day kitchen operations
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene
• Receiving deliveries and ensuring stock is stored and rotated correctly
• Providing a warm, professional and welcoming customer experience
• Supporting school events, hospitality functions and special occasions
• Assisting with portion control and helping to minimise food waste
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service throughout the day
• Sharing ideas that help improve service standards and enhance the dining experience

You'll Ideally Have:
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to work well in a busy environment
• A reliable and flexible approach
• A commitment to maintaining high standards
• Previous experience in catering, hospitality or food service (desirable but not essential)
• A Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous, although full training can be provided)
• An
Enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful applicants.
