Full Job Description

  • Executing the global and EMEA food safety and quality strategic plans across multiple product categories, empowering and governing an international supply base.
  • Driving excellence in a core range of products categories whilst simultaneously enabling our exciting innovation agenda
  • Collaborating with and managing regional licensees to ensure compliance with global food safety standards from sourcing through to store.
  • Supporting suppliers, distribution centres, and EMEA stores in maintaining safe, legal, and compliant operations-minimizing regulatory and reputational risks.
  • Engaging with internal teams and external partners to strengthen understanding of product safety and quality, while identifying opportunities to build capability and foster a high performance culture.
  • Championing and embedding a culture of safety and quality across the business.
  • Translating complex legal and technical information into clear, actionable risk communications.
  • Applying a risk-based approach to managing responsibilities and decision-making.
  • Leveraging data, insights, and risk management strategies to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Staying current with regulatory changes, technical advancements, emerging risks, and industry trends.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with suppliers, distribution centres, and coffee house teams-providing coaching and guidance to support compliance.
  • Taking ownership of professional development by engaging with external experts, industry bodies, suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Leading product incident management and resolving complex, large-scale quality, safety, and regulatory issues-ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitoring QA metrics, systems, and programs to identify and act on opportunities for technical and operational improvement.Implementing and maintaining product safety and quality standards, procedures, and tools-ensuring business partners are accountable for compliance. This includes reviewing PAT and FAT plans for initial production, supplier QMS, and performance reporting.

  • Leveraging knowledge obtained from your Degree (or equivalent experience) in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality, or related discipline
  • Bringing experience from working in large multi-market business who utilize a dynamic, international supply base.
  • Holding a strong knowledge of Risk Management, Food Safety Management Systems and GFSI Recognised Standards
  • Having experience working with licensees, suppliers, and external partners
  • Balancing business goals with legal and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively, both in writing and speaking.
  • Thinking critically and solving problems with a sharp, analytical mindset.
  • Staying focused and adaptable in fast-changing or uncertain situations.
  • Taking initiative and acting without needing to be asked.
  • Learning quickly and embracing new challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Working well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Travelling to our partner suppliers as needed.
