Overview

Do you have a manufacturing or production background? We currently have a temporary role available within the DS Smith site at Smethwick. This role is ideal for someone with previous Warehouse, production or manufacturing experience.

Role:

FLT Operator

Shifts:

• Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am - 1pm
• The following week: Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm and Friday 1pm - 8pm

Pay:

£16.25 per hour

Duration:

3 months initially

Role & Responsibilities

As a Production/Warehouse operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team committed to providing excellent service. Main tasks include:

• Picking and packing
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience as a warehouse operative
• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Physical stamina for warehouse work
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
