a workplace pension and many other perks.What youll be doingIn this pivotal role, youll be responsible for ensuring full legal and operational compliance across our fleet. Your key responsibilities will include:Ensuring full compliance of a large commercial vehicle and trailer fleet in line with legal, safety and company standardsLeading and developing a Maintenance Control Centre team of two, supporting daily fleet decision-makingMonitoring and reducing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) levels to maximise fleet availabilityControlling and optimising maintenance costs without compromising safety or complianceWorking closely with internal teams (operations, finance, senior leadership) and external partners (maintenance providers, regulators, suppliers)Ensuring all inspections, servicing and defect rectification meet commercial vehicle maintenance requirementsOverseeing compliance with drivers hours regulations, including monitoring, reporting and corrective actionsEnsuring accurate use of fleet
systems, particularly Axscend, for compliance and maintenance trackingSupporting audits and inspections, ensuring documentation and processes meet regulatory standardsDriving continuous improvement across all fleet compliance processesWhat youll bringEssential experience & qualificationsProven experience in a fleet compliance or maintenance compliance roleStrong understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance regimesSolid knowledge of Drivers Hours and DVSA Operator Licence regulationsCurrent International CPC qualificationExperience using Axscend or similar fleet compliance systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage costs, prioritise workload and make compliance-focused decisionsExperience leading or supervising a small teamDesirableExperience delivering VOR reduction initiativesBackground working with large, multi-site or high-utilisation fleetsAdditional transport or fleet compliance

If so, this could be the perfect next step.Were looking for a Fleet Compliance Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to take ownership of compliance across a large commercial vehicle and trailer fleet. Youll lead a small but highly effective Maintenance Control Centre, drive down VOR levels, and ensure our fleet operates safely, legally and efficiently every single day.Were looking to offer a salary up to £40,000, depending upon experience, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.
