We are seeking to appoint a First Aid Lead to manage the day-to-day assessment and provision of emergency first aid and manage all administrative functions of the assessment and emergency first aid/mental health first aid provision. The successful candidate will also form part of the administrative team and support with day-to-day administrative tasks.

You will have the knowledge, skills, understanding and experience relevant to the role of First Aid Lead within a busy secondary school environment. You will be organised, reliable and confident in managing a range of first aid and medical situations, remaining calm and professional when responding to emergencies.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, parents and external healthcare professionals. You will have a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding and following appropriate procedures when supporting the health and wellbeing of students.

The ideal candidate will have relevant first aid qualifications and experience of providing first aid in a school, healthcare, workplace or similar setting. You will be confident in assessing situations, responding appropriately to injuries and illness, maintaining accurate records and ensuring first aid procedures and supplies are kept up to date.

You will enjoy working as part of a wider school team and will be proactive in identifying and responding to the first aid and medical needs of the school community. You will demonstrate a caring and approachable manner, while being able to work independently and use your initiative when required.

You will be committed to contributing positively to the work, ethos and values of the school and will take pride in playing an important role in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.
