Fire Safety Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge, experience and technical expertise to help shape the delivery of fire protection across Lincolnshire. You will play a key role in supporting our teams, developing staff capability and ensuring we continue to provide a professional, effective and risk-based fire safety service. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, technical guidance and risk management, alongside experience of fire safety enforcement. You will provide specialist advice, support complex investigations and prosecutions, and help our teams navigate an increasingly changing fire safety environment. You will be someone who can turn technical knowledge into practical solutions. Working across high-risk premises, you will support auditing, enforcement and risk-based intervention, while also contributing to complex building consultations and specialist areas of fire safety. People will be at the heart of this role. You will support, mentor and develop colleagues, helping to build confidence and competence across our Fire Protection team. You will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver training, share knowledge and contribute to maintaining high professional standards across the Service. Communication and partnership working will be fundamental. You will work closely with colleagues, local authorities, external agencies and other partners, providing advice and building effective relationships that support better fire safety outcomes. Working within the Community Fire Protection team, you will help us understand risk, respond to change and focus our resources where they can make the greatest difference. Most importantly, you will help ensure that the work we do continues to support safer buildings, businesses and communities across Lincolnshire.   LFR are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Community Fire Protection team as a Fire Safety Supervisor. The successful individual will join LFR's Community Fire Protection team, offering supervision, support and direction to the department.
With an in depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, the individual will be responsible for developing the understanding of the subject across the Service, by supporting strategic planning, risk management, compliance and fire safety enforcement across Lincolnshire. You'll provide technical expertise, develop and deliver training, support inspections and investigations, work with partners, and help protect communities through effective, professional fire safety practice., Please be advised that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 now includes the requirement for Fire and Rescue Service employees to have a standard DBS check as a minimum. This legislation change applies to all Fire Services across the country and the process aims to help safeguard colleagues and communities. This role will require an enhanced DBS check., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
