Full Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Fire Risk Assessor, this role will provide essential coordination, administration and project support to the HRA fire safety team, helping to ensure that fire safety activities are well managed, accurately recorded and delivered in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
The postholder will support a specialist team including Fire Risk Assessors, Fire Project Managers and Building Safety Managers, assisting with the coordination of fire safety works, actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments, building safety documentation, resident safety information, performance reporting and regulatory submissions.
This is an important support role within a high-risk and highly regulated service area. The role will help ensure that the Council maintains clear records, effective audit trails and accurate information to support compliance with fire safety legislation, the Building Safety Act 2022, Consumer Standards and wider resident safety obligations.
Oxford City Council is seeking a proactive and well-organised Fire Safety Projects Officer to support the delivery of fire safety, building safety and compliance activity across its Housing Revenue Account (HRA) housing portfolio.
