Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer Pay: £23.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Employment: Full-time Norwich


An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer to join a professional and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, testing, fault finding and commissioning of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial and customer sites. This position would suit an experienced engineer who has a strong technical background, takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to providing a high standard of service.


Key Responsibilities



  • Install, service, test and maintain fire alarm systems.

  • Carry out commissioning and handover of new and existing fire alarm systems.

  • Complete fault finding and diagnostic work efficiently.

  • Undertake routine maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.

  • Ensure fire alarm systems are operating correctly and in accordance with relevant standards.

  • Complete commissioning certificates, service reports and other required documentation.

  • Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and other contractors.

  • Identify and report any defects, remedial works or compliance issues.

  • Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Maintain a professional standard of workmanship at all times.


The Ideal Candidate


The successful Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer will ideally have:



  • Previous experience working with fire alarm systems.

  • Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience.

  • Knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations.

  • The ability to read and understand system drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A full UK driving licence.

  • Relevant fire alarm qualifications and manufacturer training would be advantageous.
