You will be an integral part of our Group Financial Crime & Due Diligence team, providing support to the Senior Due Diligence Manager and Senior Financial Crime Manager. About the Role
- You will carry out risk-sensitive due diligence in line with legislation and regulation on financial crime, including the UK Bribery Act, UK, EU, and US Sanctions, FCA expectations, and money laundering regulations.
- You will play a part in preventing, detecting, mitigating, and reporting financial crime risks within the Centrica Group.
- You will classify third parties from a risk and regulatory perspective, including analysis of ownership structures and layered entities, and apply appropriate risk ratings.
- Conduct screening for sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse information, ensuring timely escalation of issues to management for resolution.
- Liaise with business stakeholders, front office staff, and external parties to obtain relevant CDD documentation and information, ensuring onboarding and reviews are within Service Level Agreements.
- Escalate issues to the Financial Crime Due Diligence Managers and, where appropriate, Group Financial Crime.
- Assist with monthly MI reporting on the status of work in progress and key risks that need to be managed.
What We're Looking For

- Understanding of financial crime regulations and experience working within a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex information and make sound risk-based decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to build effective relationships across the business.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
