Financial Assessments Team Manager (INTERNAL ONLY)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to manage our Financial Assessments Team within Adult Social Care. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring residents receive fair and accurate financial assessments while safeguarding vulnerable adults and supporting statutory responsibilities under the Care Act. As Team Manager, you will have expert knowledge of adult social care legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and its provisions relating to charging for social care services, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005. You will bring substantial experience of working with Court of Protection Orders, the Office of the Public Guardian and financial institutions, together with a strong understanding of financial protection arrangements for vulnerable adults. This role offers the opportunity to lead a specialist team, influence service development, and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes for residents across South Tyneside.
