What You Will Do
Lead and supervise the Financial Assessment & Benefits Team to deliver a high-quality service
Work collaboratively with adult social care teams to provide timely and accurate financial assessments
Ensure compliance with council policies, financial regulations, and legal frameworks
Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance monitoring
Drive service improvements using technology and process innovation
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial assessment legislation and benefits guidance
Identify and highlight potential financial risks or fraud, contributing to investigations where required
Provide robust reporting and performance data to senior management
Resolve complex customer queries and represent the service professionally when required
Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery
Reporting to: Head of Whole Life Pathway, To lead the effective delivery of the Financial Assessment and Benefits function, embedding consistency, efficiency, and a customer-focused approach across the team.
