Full Job Description
Undertake financial assessments for adult social care services, including care packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and council policies
Assess, review, and determine customer contributions and entitlements across a range of services
Request, verify, and analyse financial information and supporting documentation
Provide high-quality customer service, resolving queries at first point of contact where possible
Manage a caseload effectively, meeting performance targets and deadlines
Handle appeals, reconsiderations, and complex casework where required
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service deliveryKey Requirements
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong experience in financial assessments for care packages, looking to work within a fast-paced local authority environment., Proven experience as a Financial Assessment Officer within a local authority setting
Strong background in financial assessments for adult social care / care packages
Experience using Mosaic (essential)
Experience with Abacus (highly desirable)
Good understanding of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage workload independently in a hybrid working environment
