Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting to two positions within this team: one full-time (36 hours, 12-month fixed-term contract) and one part-time (21 hours, permanent). Please indicate your preference within your application. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance officer to join our Accounts Receivable team. In this key role, you will take ownership of the accounts receivable and credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, accurate maintenance of the sales ledger, and effective credit control procedures..,
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of the Council's financial strategy.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure best use of limited financial resources, providing support where needed.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities as and when they arise, inform finance managers and collectively consider options to mitigate risks or exploit opportunities
- Produce reports from Oracle and other peripheral systems to support in-year monitoring, year-end and statutory reporting
- Undertake general finance and administration tasks including maintaining shared folders, intranet pages, filing bank statements, raising POs, cheques and manual payments.
- Undertake credit control chasing.
- CCAB (preferably CIPFA), CIMA, CFA, ACT foundations stage (stage 1) completed or equivalent
