Full Job Description

Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub provides a central point of information, guidance, and support for both residents and businesses. Our mission is to help local people access training and employment opportunities, while supporting employers to find the right people with the right skills. We are a passionate team of professionals dedicated to helping individuals achieve their learning and career goals. We are seeking a Finance and Quality Compliance Officer to support the development and delivery of the Connect to Work programme across Gloucestershire. In this role, you will provide accurate financial, data and systems guidance, helping the programme run effectively and efficiently.

You'll be an organised, detail-focused and approachable person who enjoys working with numbers, data and systems, while also supporting colleagues to get things right. You'll have some experience of finance, budgeting or financial processes and be confident using spreadsheets and computerised systems, particularly Excel. You'll be comfortable checking and validating information, spotting inconsistencies and working accurately against guidance and deadlines. Strong communication skills are important, as you'll need to explain financial and data information clearly, support colleagues with CRM queries and work collaboratively across the Connect to Work programme. You'll be proactive, solutions focused and able to manage competing priorities, with a genuine commitment to quality, accuracy and continuous improvement., It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a 'customer facing role' must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.

  • For all your hard work, you will receive the following:
  • Flexible and agile working opportunities
  • 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
  • An option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff)
  • Family friendly employer offering benefits to help support you and your family
  • Career development and qualification opportunities
  • Supportive and positive working environment with regular, robust supervision
  • Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) that provides free, confidential, counselling and advice for employees, available 24 hours a day, online and by telephone.
  • An in-house Occupational Health service
  • Employee discount scheme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
