The role is largely focused on purchase ledger and credit control , with broader exposure to reconciliations, month-end activity, audit support and financial reporting., You will work across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, helping maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records. Day to day, that means monitoring the accounts mailbox, registering and processing purchase invoices, obtaining authorisations, processing expenses and preparing payment runs. You will reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, petty cash, company cards and purchasing systems, investigating differences and resolving queries rather than simply carrying them forward. You will also raise sales invoices, issue remittances and carry out credit control, following up outstanding balances professionally and persistently. As your knowledge of the organisation grows, you will contribute to monthly closure tasks, including accruals and prepayments, and prepare accurate financial information used in management reporting and reports to external funders. You will also support year-end and audit activity and act as a useful point of contact for managers, colleagues and suppliers when finance queries arise. What success looks like Your work is accurate, complete and delivered to deadline.
