Finance Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for all matters relating to the satisfactory operation and development of all finance and administrative services within the school, supporting the Senior Finance Officer and Business Manager., Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for the Council. We aim to support children and vulnerable adults to ensure they are as safe as they can possibly be. Our services and schools are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of all children and vulnerable adults, and will take action to safeguard their well-being, and acknowledge that children and vulnerable adults have a right to protection. This is supported in the general ethos of the Council and all schools.

• Experience of working in a school and/or knowledge of Arbor
• Strong ICT skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to work on their own initiative
• High standards of organisation and time management skills
• Wide experience of finance/administrative/data duties in a school setting
• An ability to be creative, innovative and willingness to contribute ideas with a positive attitude towards addressing the needs of the school
• The ability to work efficiently, problem solve, multi-task, prioritise and stay calm under pressure in an environment of changing workload demands and new school challenges, ability to communicate fluently in Welsh.[
