Full Job Description
- Current external reporting disclosures are made in line with prevailing accounting standards and legal requirements
- Future external reporting disclosures and requirements are monitored and communicated to relevant stakeholders to ensure we are prepared ahead of being required to disclose
- To make sure a true and fair set of financial statements are delivered through the year-end audit process
- Uphold a strong and effective engagement relationship with external auditors is maintained, whilst targeting no audit overruns
- Prepare and/or review accounting papers for presentation by senior stakeholders to the Audit Committee at reporting periods
- Ensure internal accounting policies are appropriate, fit for use by wider finance and consistent with IFRS
- Ensure all accounting requirements are captured and communicated to the wider finance teams
- Financial change management - supporting Finance implement business change projects whilst maintaining reporting accuracy and financial control
Qualified Accountant with detailed up-to date knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and experience with mutli-currency consolidation processes - Excellent technical accounting skills and ability to communicate to a variety of senior audiences by way of technical papers and presentations
- Experience working with or for a large, listed business including experience of technical research on complex IFRS accounting matters and of planning and delivering audit process
