If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you. As a trainee in the FP&A team, you will support the Finance Business Partner with the reporting and analysis of costs, providing meaningful insights to key stakeholders across the D&A, Product, & Technology functions. Your work will ensure that spend is tracked accurately, variances are thoroughly investigated, and financial risks or opportunities are flagged to leadership early. What You'll Do
- Capitalized Labor Tracking: Monitor and update capitalized labor positions throughout the month, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Dashboard Management: Maintain, update, and continuously improve AI Dashboards to provide clear visibility into financials for a variety of stakeholders.
- Query Management: Investigate and resolve ad-hoc timecard and project accounting queries throughout the month, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Variance Analysis: Support the Finance Business Partner in conducting P&L variance analysis, investigating discrepancies and delivering insights for management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes by gathering data, tracking inputs, and updating financial models and systems.
- General Support: Supporting the FP&A team with various projects, initiatives and ad-hoc requests.
Education: Achieved a 2.1 or above degree in Finance or any other relevant degree, or a year of practical experience in a corporate finance or accounting environment. - Excel Proficiency: Strong foundational skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, and basic formula building.
- Analytical Mindset: A natural curiosity for numbers, strong problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate financial data into understandable concepts for non-finance teams
- Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment. What Could Set You Apart
- AI Tool Familiarity: Experience using AI tools (like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity, summarize data, or streamline daily workflows.
- Relevant Industry Experience: Prior experience or exposure to the financial services sector is a strong plus.
- Accounting Principles: Understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting concepts
