The Finance Automation Team sits within the Automation, Testing & AI Enablement area of Future Capabilities & Operations. Our mission is to empower Finance with trusted insights and intelligent automation that improve decision-making, strengthen control, and drive efficient, sustainable performance. We design and deliver impactful digital solutions that improve efficiency, insight, and control across the Finance Function, using Microsoft Power Platform technologies to transform business requirements into scalable, low-code solutions. We also operate the Finance Automation & AI Centre of Excellence, supporting colleagues across Finance to work smarter through automation and data-driven solutions. As a Technical Analyst Developer, you'll join a team of automation specialists and data professionals focused on simplifying processes, reducing manual effort, and enabling better decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, you'll help deliver innovative solutions that create real business value while ensuring robust controls and governance are maintained. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity. At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Leeds or Glasgow office. If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. This is anticipated to be once a month in Glasgow. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here. Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you're an internal applicant based in a different location, we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here. Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process. If you're a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application. Alongside delivering new solutions, you'll support and enhance existing tools, investigate data issues and work with Finance systems teams, technology partners and stakeholders to identify root causes and implement lasting improvements. You'll ensure all solutions are thoroughly tested, documented and approved before going live, while following development standards that promote consistency, quality and efficiency.
