Full Job Description
We are looking for a proactive, value focused finance professional to join its Finance team in a permanent role. Based at Gadbrook Point in Northwich, this 37-hour-per-week opportunity offers the chance to play a visible and influential role in supporting key departments, helping colleagues make confident decisions, manage budgets effectively and deliver meaningful organisational outcomes. The role will work closely with the Development team at an exciting time for the Trust, as we continue to grow our development programme and deliver more homes for the local area. The successful candidate will act as a trusted link between Finance and the Development team, leading on budgets, forecasts and management accounts while providing clear insight to support strong financial planning and performance. This is a varied role with real scope to add value, including involvement in month-end and year-end processes, performance monitoring, forecasting and the development of financial models. Alongside business partnering, the role will be a key part of the Treasury team, leading on covenant monitoring and regulatory returns, as well as supporting financial statements, audit processes, finance systems development and wider improvement projects. The post holder will provide advice, constructive challenge and insight to help ensure resources are used effectively, financial governance remains strong and services continue to improve. We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant finance experience, strong analytical skills and the confidence to build effective relationships across the organisation. We are looking for a driven, diligent, and friendly Business Partner to join our Finance team. What Will You Do? + Provide operational and strategic financial support to Developments and Lettings. + Ensure strong treasury reporting, cash flow monitoring, covenant compliance and regulatory returns. + Act as a key link between Finance and operational teams, helping colleagues understand financial performance and make informed decisions. + Lead budget setting, business planning, forecasting and financial reporting for relevant departments. + Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accurate financial information is delivered to agreed timescales. + Work closely with budget holders to monitor performance, understand variances and identify opportunities to improve value for money. + Support the Development team, including cash flow reviews, appraisals analysis, contractor due diligence, fixed asset records and grant reporting. + Support on the financial statements, audit processes, finance systems development and wider continuous improvement projects. + Provide constructive financial advice, challenge and insight to strengthen financial governance, risk management and decision-making., Those applicants that consider themselves to have a disability and meet the essential criteria within the accountability profile for the role will be guaranteed an interview. + Qualified or part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent) with the appropriate experience. + Four years of relevant experience in Finance + A high level of IT and systems skills + Experience of Business Partnering with teams across a business to deliver results and stay withing budget + Experience in Budgeting and forecasting + Experience in Treasury and regulatory returns and cash flow + Experience with developments and capitalisation + An ability to convey complex finance information to people outside of finance + Excellent organisation skills and ability to multitask + Continuous improvement and innovation to improve efficiency of processes + A strong communicator who can build strong relationships across the business Additionally, due to the flexible working arrangements with this role, you will need access to a room where you can work from and a suitable internet connection.
