Join the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority and play a key role in supporting the financial delivery of regional programmes and services. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with budget holders and programme managers, ensuring effective financial monitoring and decision-making. You will contribute to strong financial governance across a diverse portfolio of grant-funded activity., As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide proactive financial support and constructive challenge across a portfolio of programmes and services. Working closely with budget holders and programme managers, you will ensure income and expenditure are effectively monitored, forecasts are robust, and financial insights support decision-making.,

  • Acting as a key finance contact, offering advice and support to budget holders
  • Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and identifying variances
  • Preparing and maintaining financial forecasts
  • Supporting programme managers with project expenditure and funding claims
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, governance requirements and grant conditions
  • Overseeing financial controls and identifying financial risks
  • Supporting procurement activity, including raising purchase orders and supplier setup
  • Producing clear financial reports and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
  • Working with corporate finance teams to ensure accurate financial data
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial processes, These roles are not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.   • Experience supporting financial monitoring or budget management within programmes, projects or grant-funded activity
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting tools
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools
  • A track record of identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Personal resilience and ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving and politically sensitive environment
  • Desirable:
  • Experience preparing funding claims, returns and audit documentation
  • Understanding of public sector financial governance and funding compliance
  • Awareness of a Combined County Authority and its responsibilities
