We're looking for a motivated and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our team, with a focus on corporate finance including budget planning and reporting. We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Corporate Finance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Council's ambitious corporate plan. This is a high-profile role providing professional financial advice and guidance, whilst supporting key stakeholders across the organisation, with a particular focus on financial and performance reporting, budget setting and medium-term financial planning.   • What will you be doing?
  • Leading on and working closely with colleagues in the finance business partner teams to understand the in-year financial position and prepare accurate monthly monitoring reports.
  • Supporting with the organisation's annual budget setting process and medium term financial plan.
  • Turning complex financial data into clear insights that colleagues and senior leaders can use with confidence.
  • Identifying risks, spotting trends and helping shape strategies that deliver positive outcomes.
  • Support the development of strong financial management and accountability across the organisation.

  • Experience in management accounting or business partnering in any sector.
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills, with the ability to create practical, flexible tools.
