Full Job Description
The Finance Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of effective transaction processing within MAG'S Corporate Finance Department. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will efficiently manage the finance inbox and phone, responding to queries promptly, and escalating issues when necessary. You will act as the first point of contact for supplier queries, maintain supplier and donor details in our accounting system, and ensuring accurate allocation and reconciliation of transactions. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing supplier payments, including international payments and BACS payment runs, and liaising with the bank on issues such as recalled payments and compliance investigations. You will undertake ad hoc finance and payroll administrative work in order to support the achievement of programme and departmental business plan objectives.,
- Leave: We recognise our staff work hard and need the appropriate time out to stay motivated. Annual Leave starts at five weeks each year and increases with service to six weeks. We also offer paid sick leave, and the amount of the entitlement increases with service. Once you've been with MAG for two years, you're entitled to 13 weeks. MAG also has policies on compassionate leave, flexible working and family leave, including maternity, paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave.

- -C / Grades 9-4 or AAT Level 2. Basic knowledge of double entry bookkeeping or accounting and payroll systems would be advantageous., Proven administrative experience, including experience prioritising work to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems, particularly Excel and Word.

Salary: £26,232 per annum and this increases with service.
You will have proven administration experience and the ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines, approaching tasks methodically and thoroughly, remaining calm under pressure and collaborating enthusiastically as part of a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to quickly learn bespoke systems are essential. You will have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English with grades A
