Field Service Engineer

Job DescriptionOur client is a very successful distributor of CNC woodworking machinery and due to their continued business growth Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.Basic £40K -£42K + OT Door to door (OTE £47K -£50K)The successful candidate will operate as a 'home based' field engineer responsible for machine installation, service and repair activities throughout the UK.The Role:Reporting to the service manager you will be responsible for effective delivery of professional electrical maintenance, service and repair of CNC woodworking machinery.Duties will include but is not limited to the following; Electrical installations, machine fault find and repair Motors, servos, 415v and 24v circuits (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential). Contactors, sensors, relays, switches etc etc Control panels, wiring Plc fault find and repair Machine installation & commissioning Mechanical maintenance and repair, removal and

replacement on broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, and ball screws.Candidate:You will be a multiskilled engineer ideally electrical bias and you will previous experience in a field service engineer position.You will have previous experience in maintenance service and repair of automated / semi-automated machinery.Applicants will be electrically qualified e.g. NVQ3, HNC in electrical engineering or 17th /18th edition certification.You will demonstrate good customer service and communication skills and you will be of a friendly disposition.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday 40 hours + OT door to door payOnly occasional nights away from homeBenefits:Competitive basic salary £40K -£42K + OT ( OTE £47K -£50K) Company vehicle, phone , laptop Credit card, fuel card Door to door pay + OT 31 days annual leave Very occasional nights away from homeJBRP1_UKTJ
