Full Job Description
The Field Care Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that our clients receive safe, dependable, and compassionate care in their own homes. This position involves working both in the office and within the community, providing care, visiting service users, and supporting care staff to ensure that services are delivered to a high standard and in accordance with each individual's care plan.
You will work closely with care assistants, the office team, families and healthcare professionals to ensure that every service user receives person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.
This role suits someone who enjoys supporting staff, building relationships with clients and helping maintain quality across a domiciliary care service.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Care Staff
You will regularly meet with care workers in the field to observe practice, provide guidance and carry out supervision sessions. Part of your role will be helping staff develop their confidence and skills so they can provide the best possible support to clients.
You will also:
Carry out spot checks
Support staff with any concerns or challenges they may face
Help with staff inductions and mentoring new carers
Identify training needs and support ongoing development
Working with Service Users
Another key part of the role is visiting clients in their homes to ensure the care they receive meets their needs and expectations.
This includes:
Completing initial assessments for new service users
Creating and reviewing care plans
Carrying out risk assessments
Checking that care is being delivered safely and respectfully
Speaking with clients and families to make sure they are happy with the service
Maintaining Quality and Compliance
As a Field Care Supervisor you help ensure the service meets required standards and regulations.
This includes:
Monitoring care delivery in line with company policies and regulatory standards
Reviewing care documentation and daily records
Supporting with audits and quality checks
Reporting incidents, concerns or safeguarding issues appropriately
Working with the Office Team
You will work closely with the care coordination and management team to make sure the service runs smoothly.
You may also support with:
Updating care records and documentation
Communicating important updates about service users
Helping with rota cover in urgent situations
Taking part in the on-call rota when required
We are looking for someone who has experience in domiciliary care and enjoys supporting both staff and clients.
You should be:
Organised and able to manage your time effectively
Confident supporting and guiding care staff
A good communicator who can build strong relationships
Able to recognise and respond to risks or safeguarding concerns
Committed to delivering person-centred care
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Experience working in domiciliary or community care
Right to work in the UK & not require sponsorship.
Previous experience as a senior carer or team leader
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
Experience completing care assessments and care plans
Over time and On call paid paid on top of Salary.
Working Pattern
This role involves a mix of community visits and office-based work. You will regularly travel to service users' homes across the local area and occasionally support care delivery in urgent situations.
