Full Job Description

The arts are coming back to Yeovil College - and you could help shape what comes next. This is a brand-new role with the opportunity to develop our new Festival Production curriculum, including Events Management, Performing Arts and Production Arts, ahead of the opening of our flagship new building. With state-of-the-art facilities putting Yeovil College firmly back on the map for the creative industries, this is a chance to create something exciting, relevant and industry-focused from day one.
As our Festival Production Study Programme Manager, you'll lead the development of new study programmes, covering areas such as event planning, live event production, marketing and promotion, health and safety, dance, music, drama, sound, lighting and set design. You'll work with employers, creative organisations and industry partners to understand emerging skills needs and turn them into engaging, commercially viable curriculum that meets local and regional workforce needs. Alongside curriculum development and quality assurance, you'll build strong industry networks, organise employer engagement events and ensure our programmes deliver the skills and experience students need to progress into the creative industries. If you're passionate about the arts, know what industry needs and want the opportunity to build something from the ground up, this could be the role for you., Potential applicants should be aware that all successful applicants will need to agree to an enhanced DBS check including child and if required adult barred list checks.

Yeovil College uses a third party registered body called uCheck to complete DBS checks on our behalf. Your data is handled according to the DBS Code of Practice which is available from the DBS website.

DBS checks are only one of several methods used to assess candidates' suitability to work with children and young adults.
