Support Worker - Wansbeck Supported Living Service, Hatfield Chase, Bedlington.
Wansbeck Supported Living Service, supports individuals with learning disabilities and personality disorders who may display behaviours of concern, to help them live in their own homes, living a life that they choose.
We are a CQC registered service who strive to achieve an overall outstanding.
We provide a 24/7 service to support individuals in a person-centred way with all aspects of their lives, from personal care, dietary needs, domestic tasks, fun and exciting activities, community access and staying connected with family and friends, promoting a high quality of life for all.
We are currently looking for a female support worker to join our team. We are looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, and considerate. If you this is you, then we want to hear from you!
Please note this post has a genuine occupational requirement for a specific gender to be appointed due to the nature of the duties and the client(s) involved.
The successful candidate should have experience in a care setting, desirably with people with a learning disability and who may display behaviours of concern and should be flexible to the needs of the service and service users.
You will work off a monthly rolling rota which will include a mix of early shifts, late shifts and nightshifts.
NCC Band 4 salary - £26,403 - £28,142 FTE
Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF level 2 in health and social care or equivalent is preferable
- This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
- A willingness to undertake further training to meet the needs of the service
- It is desirable for the candidate to have a full UK driving licence
