Female Relief Care and Support Worker (Days and Nights)

At Jewish Care, we support people to live independently, with dignity and connection at the heart of everything we do. Our Retirement Living services offer a vibrant, supportive community where tenants can enjoy their independence, knowing care and support are there when needed.
We are seeking experienced Support Workers who can provide bank/ relief cover both during the day and nights and can work all the following shifts throughout the week and weekends when required.

7.00am to 3.00pm

3.00pm to 9.00pm

9.00pm to 7.00am

There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.

About the role

This isn't a typical care role.

As a Care & Support Worker, you'll support tenants living in their own flats-helping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, you'll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.

What you'll be doing

Supporting tenants with personal care and daily living
Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
Building trusted relationships with tenants and their families
Supporting wellbeing through social activities and community engagement
Working with health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support
Keeping accurate records and using care planning systems

Caring, compassionate, and respectful
A great communicator who enjoys building relationships
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable supporting people with different needs, including dementia
Willing to learn and develop

Experience in care is helpful but not essential-we provide full training.

You'll support people in their own homes, not a care home setting
