Full Job Description

A Female Personal Support Assistant is required for 9 hours per week to support a totally blind lady, is high functioning autistic and does not let her disabilities stop her enjoying and persuing her hobbies, interests and activities.

The lady has 2 Labrador dogs, so you would have to be comfortable having them in your car. She is planning to get a puppy in the near future so you would need to be a keen dog-lover.

The lady loves to take long walks in the woods, enjoys walking around the local lakes. She would love it if you could assist her to take part in some activities, such as the climbing wall, zip line, archery and axe throwing. She loves arts and crafts, history, horse riding and ice-skating.

Experience in blindness or autism is not necessary, but a willingness to learn is essential

Exception Under The Equality Act (2010)- the post is only open to female applicants due to the personal assistance required.
