Summary
Are you someone who prefers being up at night and wants to make a real difference in someone's life?
We're looking for a kind, reliable, and confident female to join our team as a waking night support worker in Chandlers Ford (SO53).
You will be supporting 3 lovely ladies in their 20's and 50's in a large detached house. The ladies do not use words to communicate, will use vocal sounds to display how they are feeling, point to things they want etc. Full support with personal care required, also support with finances, general house tasks. Two ladies need support with feeding.
This is a full time role, working waking night shifts a week from 7 pm to 7 am, including alternate weekends. You'll be working on your own during the night, so it's important that you're comfortable with lone working.
Your night will involve being there if she wakes up and needs support, helping her with her morning routine, including breakfast and medication, and doing some light cleaning. You'll also keep records during your shift using our digital system.
We're looking for someone who's caring, calm, and happy to work nights. You don't need to drive or have experience; we'll give you all the training you need. You'll also be part of a friendly team and will attend occasional team meetings and training days.
Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. In this context, "gender" refers to the sex legally assigned to an individual.
Your rewards
In return, you'll get a competitive salary, paid training, and a great benefits package. This includes up to 35 days of holiday (pro rata), pension contributions, discounts on shopping and days out, a £200 bonus if you refer a friend, and access to wellbeing support whenever you need it. There's free parking at the house, and public transport links are good too.
