We have a vacancy for a Female Bank Support Worker at our Supported Living Service (for 5 adults) in Newbiggin-by-the-sea. Shift times could include:- 8-3, 3-10, 8-10, waking nights and sleep-ins. Ideally, we would like applicants who hold full UK Driving License, but this is not essential.

Who you'll be supporting & more about the role

This is a mixed gender household - our ages range from 54-86. Albany bungalow has 3 lovely ladies that live there and Lyndhurst has two lovely Gentlemen and a lady. We have some challenges, such as physical disabilities, sight and speech impairment and can need support with getting out and about, supporting us with medication and some personal care needs. The staff here are trained and familiar in supporting people with complex needs.

We are proud to be supported to be as independent as possible, with rooms and living spaces personalized to us. We all enjoy different activities, including parties, karaoke, theatre, cinema, concerts, lazy movie days, baking, cooking, household tasks, pamper sessions, gardening, and outings in our seaside town.

We aspire to live life to the fullest and engage in positive risk-taking. We enjoy participating in local activities and festivals such as tree lighting, church services, etc. We are fun, mischievous, friendly, and welcoming. We prefer to spend time with people who enjoy life and have a sense of humor. We prefer to avoid loud, shouting, or aggressive individuals as this upsets us.

There are typically 7 staff on shift, with a combination including 8-3, 3-10, 8-10, waking nights, and sleep-ins.
