Farm Retail Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Farm Retail Supervisor to join the team at Forty Hall Farm. The successful candidate will work within our Farm Shop which sells our own organic farm produce, including vegetables, salad, eggs, flowers and free-range meat.The primary responsibility of the Farm Retail Supervisor is the day-to-day management of the College's retail operation across Forty Hall Farm, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding customer experience whilst maximising commercial income and profit.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of Farm Retail Assistants, students, volunteers whilst overseeing all aspects of the retail operation including customer service, merchandising, stock management, compliance and sales performance.The candidate should excel in building positive relationships across all levels, possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with shop customers, staff,
management, and farm colleagues. Experience working in customer services and supervising a retail operation. The ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure during busy shop hours is crucial. Team collaboration is emphasised, and familiarity or willingness to learn social media skills, particularly on Instagram, is desired. Some weekend working may be required for this role.The actual salary for this role is £14,405 - £15,538, inclusive of London Weighting
