Full Job Description

Hadlow College, Kent's only land-based college and part of North Kent Colleges Group, is looking for an enthusiastic Farm Instructor to join our team. Based at our 250-acre mixed enterprise farm, you will support learners through practical agricultural education while contributing to the day-to-day operation of our commercial beef, sheep and arable enterprises. You will support students with practical lessons and assessments, delivering demonstrations and guidance while maintaining high standards of health and safety, animal welfare and learner support. Working closely with curriculum staff and the Farm Management Team, you will help create an engaging learning environment where students can develop industry-standard skills and gain valuable experience in a working farm environment. Alongside teaching support, you will assist with the daily running of the College farms, including livestock management, grassland maintenance, farm estate upkeep and routine operational tasks. You will also support the preparation of practical facilities, equipment and resources, maintain accurate records, and contribute to College events and student opportunities. The successful candidate will have proven operational farming experience, a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail. You will be confident working independently and as part of a team, with a strong understanding of livestock, farm safety and the importance of supporting students to develop the practical skills and behaviours needed for a career in agriculture. The Role: Where you'll work: The role is based at the Hadlow College site, with occasional travel to any of the College sites as required.

£28,892 per annum Permanent North Kent College Are you passionate about agriculture and committed to developing the next generation of farming professionals?, Your pay: £28,892 per annum (plus accommodation package) (£26,276 per annum for 37 hours full time equivalent), In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect the following benefits at NKC:
