Family & Systemic Psychotherapist

To provide family therapy service to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMH service. Providing specialist family assessment and therapy to service users and their families/carers and advice and consultation on their care to non-family therapy colleagues and the professional network involved in their support. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. They will utilise research skills for audit to support policy and service development; and undertake research within the area served by the service and of relevance to young people their families and carers. The post holder will provide generic initial and Duty CAMHS assessments and interventions as well as providing specialist family therapy interventions and contribute to support plans for the care of children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMH service for children and young people within the clinical governance structures and protocols of the service. To undertake generic and specialist family therapy /systemic assessments of children and families referred to the service. To provide a specialist family therapy service to children, young people and their parents/carers. To provide Systemic Consultation to colleagues within CAMHS & partner agencies. To be part of the Family Therapy Clinic both as a reflecting team member and as lead therapist. To undertake Multi-family interventions and group work. Where necessary to assist in supervising other systemic colleagues and practitioners To receive regular clinical supervisionin accordance with Trust guidelines. To pursue continuing professional development by relevant study and attendance at training events, courses and conferences to gain experience and skills relevant to the service. To remain current with all mandatory / statutory training for the service To maintain professional registration with UKCP To adhere to local and Trust policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Lone Working, Sickness and Absence, and Annual Leave. • The post holderwilljoin the multi-disciplinary CAMH Service in delivering mental health care to children, young people, and their families, including involvement in the multi-disciplinary assessment pathway.
• The post holderwill provide specialist Systemic assessment and therapy
• The post holder will offer specialist Systemic, psychological and / or mental health input to children, young people, and their families.
• The post holder will form part of the Family Therapy clinic, as both reflecting team member and lead therapist
• The post holder will offer systemic consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues from all disciplines and to individuals external to CAMHS working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
• The post holder willsupport the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other professionals and offer supervision as agreed per job plan.
