Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Cheshire East's Family Help Service as a Family Support Worker at a pivotal time for children and families. There are two permanent roles available. 1 x 37 hours per week and 1 x 29.6 hours per week. About the role As we continue to implement the national Families First for Children reforms, you will play a key role in delivering relational, restorative and strengths-based support to children, young people and their families. Working alongside partners across education, health and social care, you will help families identify their strengths, build resilience and achieve positive, sustainable change through direct support, assessment, family network meetings and groupwork. If you are passionate about making a difference, skilled in building meaningful relationships, and committed to helping families receive the right support at the right time, we would love to hear from you. No two days are the same in this rewarding role, offering the opportunity to be part of a service that is shaping the future of Family Help across Cheshire East. The role is diverse with no one day the same, for more information on the role please view the 'In this job you will' section within the attached job description specification document.
You will have experience of working directly with children, young people and families, with a strong understanding of safeguarding, child development and trauma-informed practice. You will be confident in building positive relationships, working collaboratively with partners, and supporting families to identify solutions that lead to lasting change. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to delivering high-quality support that improves outcomes for children and keeps families at the centre of everything we do.
