About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting families and using your lived experience to help others feel understood, empowered, and connected? At Aspens Charities, we walk alongside families supporting neurodivergent individuals, people with learning disabilities and those with complex needs. We are looking for a compassionate and relatable individual to join our Family Support team as a Family Support Worker. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with lived experience of neurodivergence - either personally or as a parent, carer or who wants to support other families through shared understanding and practical guidance. You will:
- Provide emotional and practical support to parents, carers, and families
- Help families understand their rights, entitlements, and available support
- Signpost to local services, community resources, and useful information
- Deliver support through:
- + One-to-one sessions (online or face-to-face) + Group sessions and drop-ins + Workshops and community events,
- Ability to travel independently to different locations (driving licence and access to vehicle is essential)
- Access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance

Some of the people we support have specific guidelines in place that need to be followed, this allows them to understand their day and develop independent living skills, with limited distress to the individual.
