Family Support & Bereavement Services Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management, development and coordination of the Family Support, Spiritual Care and Bereavement Service teams. They will support staff, volunteers and students to deliver effective emotional, practical, social, spiritual care, and bereavement support. The role will ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate and person-centred support for patients, families, carers and those affected by bereavement. The post holder will also be expected to hold a caseload relevant to qualification and expertise.

You will require a post graduate qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Chaplaincy, Health & Social Care, or other relevant discipline and be registered/ accredited with the appropriate professional body., Our Family Support & Bereavement Service provides specialist and therapeutic counselling to children, young people and adults, who have been bereaved through a death by any means, using individual, group and family techniques as appropriate. This service is continually growing and trying innovative ways to meet the needs of a diverse group of individuals.

As the manager of this service, we are looking for an individual who has experience in developing and coordinating services and who is passionate about delivering high quality to support to people at their most vulnerable.
