Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded law firm in Derby, Derbyshire. This is a full-time, permanent job position offering hybrid working with up to two days per week working remotely from home, a salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and excellent long-term career progression with great transport links to the City centre.

You will manage a varied caseload of high-quality private family matters, including high-net-worth work, with paralegal and secretarial assistance. Applications are also welcomed from Chartered Legal Executives with at least two years' relevant post-qualification experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of divorce, separation, financial remedy, and private children matters


• Advising on complex and high-net-worth family law matters and providing clear, practical guidance throughout


• Conducting your own advocacy and attending the Family Court regularly


• Taking responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to conclusion


• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a sensitive, responsive, and professional service


• Working collaboratively with the wider family team and making effective use of the dedicated paralegal and secretarial support available

Person Specification

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive


• At least two years' post-qualified experience within private family law


• Experience handling a broad range of divorce, financial remedy, and private children matters


• The ability to advise on complex or high-net-worth matters, or the ambition to develop further experience in this area


• Confidence conducting own advocacy and attending Court


• Strong client care, communication, and organizational skills


• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice
