Full Job Description

To provide high quality support and interventions to parents as part of the Family Safeguarding Team. This includes working with parents with a history of substance use to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for children. The post will be required to contribute to the overall aims and objectives of the Family Safeguarding Team by compiling data and progress reports as directed and in line with the Family Safeguarding Workbook. The focus of all interventions will be:

  • To reduce substance use for parents who have children on a CP or CIN Plan
  • To reduce the negative impact on children and families
  • To provide weekly dedicated support through home visits, undertaking screenings and safeguarding one to one sessions
  • To promote family members involvement to improve outcomes for children
  • The post holder will be based within one of our TP Oxfordshire Hubs and work flexibly across the local geographical area as required

    Excellent IT skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook etc. are essential for this role. (Tested at interview) Ability to travel around one of the local TP Oxfordshire Treatment Hubs, including some rural setting would be advantageous with access to your own transport is preferred.
