Full Job Description

As a Family Help Practitioner, you'll:

  • Be the lead professional for families, coordinating multi-agency support.
  • Undertake whole-family assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans.
  • Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including parenting programmes.
  • Work flexibly across community settings, including homes, schools, and Children's Centres.
  • Promote trauma-informed practice and ensure the voice of the child is central to all work.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement within the service.
  • This is a frontline role where your ability to build trust, work collaboratively, and deliver impactful support will be key to achieving better outcomes for children and families.

  • Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Has experience working with children and families to deliver preventative interventions.
  • Understands the social and economic challenges that affect family outcomes.
  • Can lead and coordinate multi-agency support and assessments.
  • Has strong communication, time management, and partnership working skills.
  • Is flexible, values-driven, and committed to continuous professional development.
  • Holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
