Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us in our ongoing development of a model of Trafford Family Help, recognising that families need the right help at the right time. As part of our Family Support Service you will work alongside the Senior Family Group Coordinator to champion the use of and deliver Family Group Conferences in line with the Family Rights Group guidelines and toolkit.
You will bring experience in working with children and families and promoting family-based decision models. You will be skilled in facilitation, mediation & negotiation with individuals and groups, with a solution focus that is empowering to families. You will have a good understanding of safeguarding practice. Whilst experience of Family Group Conference delivery would be helpful, we will provide the appropriate training and support to ensure the successful candidate is able to undertake the role. - An enhanced/basic DBS Check with children/adults barred list will be required.
- Any appointment made to this role will be subject to the appointable candidate being vetted under Greater Manchester Police clearance processes. A requirement of the vetting process is a minimum of 3 years residency in the UK.
- You will be required to drive in this role. You will be asked for a copy of your driving license as part of the recruitment process.
- Training and experience as a Family Group conference coordinator is desirable but not essential.
