- Purposeful admissions with early review points
- Structured, therapeutic care programmes delivered across 7 days
- Strong links with crisis and community services, including COAST (Crisis Outreach Acute Support Team),

- Supportive MDT working, safe staffing and strong clinical leadership You will work as part of a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering care to young people and working closely with families and carers from admission through to discharge., We are seeking a compassionate, motivated and proactive individual to join our CAMHS Acute Inpatient Service in a key new role supporting carers, families and friends of children and young people accessing our inpatient care. This post strengthens how we recognise, engage and support carers throughout the patient journey. As part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will help ensure carers feel valued, informed and supported, recognising their vital role in recovery and outcomes. You will work under the guidance of the acute lead social worker alongside the multidisciplinary team. This is an onsite role, Monday to Friday 9-5, with flexibility required and some travel. Main duties of the job
- Identify and engage key individuals in patients' lives across the care pathway
- Provide emotional and practical support to carers, individually and through groups
- Co-facilitate the Carers' Support Group
- Develop and implement carer support plans, including checklists and patient passports
- Advocate for carers at key stages of care
- Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues to strengthen carer involvement, including CPA reviews
- Signpost and liaise with local and national support services
- Support and coordinate ward Carer Champions
- Build connections with the Family Ambassador in the Provider Collaborative
- Plan and deliver carer engagement initiatives
- Promote carer awareness and contribute to staff training
- Collect and use feedback to improve carer experience and service quality
