Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Family Hubs team as a Family & Community Navigator. This 18.5 hour fixed term role is full time until 31st March 2027 and is based at County Hall in Glenfield but is predominantly out working in communities across the county.
Are you skilled at engaging families and able to help them access services/support effectively? Do you have a working knowledge of the national Reducing Parental Conflict agenda? Do you have substantial experience working across the wider early help system and the benefits of collaboration? Are you comfortable working on a number of projects at the same time?,
- NNEB/NVQ3 or equivalent in Childcare, Youth and Community, Health and Social Care, IAG, Community Regeneration or other relevant area. Or demonstrable experience.
- Ability to engage children and parents from different backgrounds with a wide range of communication needs/preferences
- Experience of developing community projects
- Knowledge of the national framework for Family Hubs and service ethos
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child
- Ability to work with a range of professionals from many different organisations
