The Role


Ready to skip the snooze button and get stuck in? Here’s a snapshot of what you'll be doing day to day:



  • You will form part of the Maintenance team, working primarily on supporting our Bed Production Operatives, by maintaining, repairing, and servicing our static plant machinery - conveyors, hydraulic presses, industrial sewing machines, etc.

  • As part of a small maintenance team, you will also be involved with various other jobs around the site, no day will ever be the same, you certainly won’t be bored, and you will be able to use all your skills and experiences to improve our factory environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial sewing machines.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.

  • Install new machines and calibrate them to meet production requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of all routine maintenance and repair activities.

  • Manage inventory of spare parts.


Your standard working week will be 40 hours, Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility with shift patterns will be required during holidays and busier production periods.

The Person



  • Electrical qualification desired (e.g., 18th Edition / NVQ L3) but not essential.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills including PLC.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Quick learner when it comes to understanding new systems and electronics.

  • Welding, soldering, and fabrication experience would be advantageous but not essential.
