Full Job Description
Are you an experienced facilities professional who takes pride in safe, clean and welcoming environments? We are looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join our Facilities Department in North Devon. You will assist the Facilities Lead in the operational management of the Facilities Department, supporting value for money and excellence in service provision across our sites and services.,
- Support the Facilities Lead across the different areas of the business, helping to coordinate day-to-day delivery, allocate work, and maintain high standards of performance and customer service.
- Cleaning and hygiene: support delivery of cleaning services in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness, including monitoring standards, responding to issues, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Food safety: support implementation and ongoing compliance of Ward HACCP, ensuring safe food handling practices and accurate completion of required checks and records.
- Waste management: ensure waste is managed in line with Trust waste policies and procedures, including correct segregation, storage and collection arrangements, and prompt reporting/escalation of non-compliance.
- General responsibilities: contribute to stock management, support HR activity, and assist with recruitment management (including induction and ongoing support for new starters).
Experience supervising or leading teams within facilities services such as cleaning, catering/food safety and/or waste management. - Knowledge of quality, safety and compliance requirements within a healthcare, public sector or similarly regulated environment.
- Confidence to set standards, provide day-to-day guidance, and address performance or quality issues promptly and fairly.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
- Organised and dependable, with a practical approach to problem solving and a focus on continuous improvement and value for money.
