The Role We are looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join our team in Leicester. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for the effective delivery of post room and workplace support services, while supervising and supporting a small on-site team. You'll play a key part in ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused workplace experience, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the wider facilities function. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the
post room, ensuring accurate and timely distribution and dispatch of post and courier items
Supervise and support post room team members, allocating tasks and monitoring performance
Act as the first point of contact for post room operational issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate
Deliver excellent customer service, responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently
Maintain accurate records and reporting for incoming and outgoing mail
Manage relationships with courier and delivery providers to ensure service levels are met
Support the Facilities Manager with daily building operations and general facilities services
Conduct regular floor walks and inspections to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained workplace
Log, track, and follow up on maintenance issues with relevant teams
Support office moves, meeting room setups, and general workplace services
Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, and company standards
Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery
Provide guidance, training, and onboarding support to team members
Promote a positive team culture with high levels of accountability and performance About You Proven experience in facilities, post room, or workplace services within a corporate office environment
Experience supervising or leading a small team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
Confident prioritising tasks and managing day-to-day operations
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
