An opportunity has arisen at Weymouth Hospital to join the friendly, hardworking Facilities Team, with the main emphasis on Cleaning duties., This is a multi-tasking role, focussing on cleaning duties, on the whole. whilst supporting ad-hoc Portering and catering duties. Our Facilities team members perform a vital part of our hard-working team and without them the Hospital would not be able to operate.

Cleaning-Provide an effective cleaning service, to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum. Working across the main Hospital, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, clinic spaces, corridors offices and stairwells.

Portering-Provision of appropriate Portering services which will include the safe moving and storing of deliveries and equipment, performing routine health & safety tasks and supporting the general team in their activities.

Catering-To contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the Hospital. Ad-Hoc support to assist in the production of sandwiches/salads, stocking the vending machine, stocking and cleaning of the coffee machine and kitchen cleaning.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated flexible and able to work as part of a Team but also on their own., Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

We have a part-time position of 20 hours, per week, working either 0600-1000 or 1600-2000, Monday-Friday, with an opportunity to work additional hours to cover sickness and annual leave.
