Full Job Description
As a Facilities Service Assistant, no two days are the same. You'll support a range of essential services including cleaning, catering and portering, helping to ensure the smooth running of hospital services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across wards, patient areas and public spaces
- Supporting meal service, including preparing and delivering food and drinks to patients
- Assisting with the movement of equipment, supplies and occasionally patients
- Handling laundry, waste and stock to keep services running efficiently
- Working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support patient care
- Following infection control, health & safety and hygiene standards at all times
We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Facilities Service Assistant to join our team within a busy Community Hospital. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff., Previous experience in cleaning, catering or portering is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. This role requires flexibility, including weekend and shift work to meet the needs of the service.
