Facilities Engineering Placement

At Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, we offer a 12-month Facilities Engineering Placement programme which will tap into your passion and determination, giving you a real opportunity to contribute to our success story. The Facilities team supports the entire business, ensuring our state-of-the-art Technology Centre and infrastructure can meet our evolving operational needs. Our work spans a diverse range of mechanical, electrical and environmental projects, from test cell infrastructure and site utilities through to renewable energy and sustainability initiatives such as solar and wind power, all helping to support our wider business and net zero ambitions. As a Facilities Engineering Placement, you will gain exposure to the entire project management lifecycle, from developing and justifying business cases and creating project plans, through to the implementation and delivery of mechanical and electrical systems, civils and controls. You will be given the autonomy to troubleshoot challenges, propose solutions and deliver value-added projects within tight deadlines. Depending on the project, you may put your design skills into practice by creating or amending infrastructure drawings, work with large bodies of site and utility data, or take ownership of sustainability and engineering projects from initial concept through to delivery. You will also support managers with the collection, analysis and presentation of data and calculations that are central to successful project delivery. Working as part of a specialist team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across the business and gain first-hand experience of how Facilities Engineering supports a world-class Formula 1 engineering environment., We offer the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Research and Development centre, contributing to exciting, business-critical projects alongside some of Formula 1's best engineers. You will work and learn within a specialist team while collaborating across different areas of the business to deliver your objectives.

• A curious, tenacious and driven individual with a hunger to work in a fast-paced environment.
• To be on track for a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree, for example Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Civil, Building Services or Architectural Engineering
• Experience in engineering/design software, mechanical, electrical or controls principles, or working with and analysing large bodies of data.
• The ability to record, analyse and clearly present calculations, findings or technical information.
• Pride in the quality of the projects you deliver, ensuring every detail is considered and presented in a methodical, conscientious and professional manner.
• Great organisational skills and the ability to deliver within strict deadlines.

  A salary of £30,000 p/a.
